DIY Solar Generator Plans

$99.99

This Solar Generator is designed to be practical, reliable, and affordable. The detailed shopping list and wiring diagram will provide you with everything you need to become gasoline and grid independent while powering refrigerators, lights, fans, or electronics. You can purchase the generator components directly from the supplier or major dealers, which reduces middleman charges, avoids warranty confusion, and ensures fast delivery.

The system can start with 400 watts of solar panels and 2 batteries, with the option to expand to 800 watts of solar panels and 4 batteries in parallel and series. For more power, you can further expand the solar array to 1200 watts of solar panels in parallel and series, with 6 batteries wired in parallel and series, resulting in a total of 3780 watt-hours of stored energy. Note that some upgraded solar wiring (not included in the package) is required for this level of expansion.

The 24-volt battery bank offers several advantages, including higher conversion efficiency and power flow from the solar charge controller to the battery bank and then to the inverter. Additionally, the 24-volt battery bank extends the solar generator's expansion range due to lower current levels throughout the system.

The 24-volt battery bank offers several advantages, including higher conversion efficiency and power flow from the solar charge controller to the battery bank and then to the inverter. Additionally, the 24-volt battery bank extends the solar generator's expansion range due to lower current levels throughout the system.

However, it's essential to consider the downside of the 24-volt battery bank. This system is NOT compatible with most vehicle parts and charging systems, such as 12-volt DC appliances, adapters, or converters commonly used with vehicles or RVs. Please take this into consideration when planning your setup.
